Good evening, Eagle families. This is your principal, Ms. Palmer, with our last weekly announcements for the 2024-2025 school year.
Edgecombe County Public Schools is excited to offer Camp Ignite, a high-quality, tuition-free summer program running from June 16–July 24, 2025! This program is designed for current PreK–1st grade and 4th–5th grade students, providing academic support, engaging enrichment activities, and a safe, nurturing environment to keep learning fun all summer long. Students should have brought home an invitation/application on Friday afternoon.
This week, our 3rd-, 4th-, and 5th-grade students who were not proficient on their math EOGs, as well as our 4th- and 5th-grade students who were not proficient on their reading EOGs, have the opportunity to retest. On Monday, June 2nd, will be the math retest, and on Tuesday, June 3rd, will be the reading retest. Students who were proficient or opted out of the retest will work on quiet enrichment activities, allowing us to maintain a calm and productive testing environment.
Please remember that all medications that are stored at school must be picked up in the front office by noon on June 4th. Medications can not be kept at school over the summer and will be discarded after June 4th.
Our last day of school is Wednesday, June 4th, and it is an early release day. Students will be dismissed at 12:15 pm.
Thank you, families, students, and staff, for an amazing school year. We are truly proud of all we have accomplished this school year. Soar high, Eagles!
