Honoring Our Veterans: We hope you had a chance to celebrate and thank our veterans today for their service and dedication. 1st Grade Field Trip: On Thursday, November 14, our 1st-grade scholars will be traveling to the Marbles Museum in Raleigh for a day of exploration and hands-on learning. Career Development Month Spirit Week: This week, in celebration of Career Development Month, we’re hosting a special Spirit Week to inspire students to think about their futures! Here’s what’s planned: Tuesday, Nov. 12 - College Day: Teachers will represent their Alma Mater or fraternity/sorority. Encourage your student to learn more about colleges and different educational paths! Wednesday, Nov. 13 - When I Grow Up Day: Students can dress up as their dream job. Let’s inspire them to imagine all the possibilities their future holds! Thursday, Nov. 14 - Step Into the Future: Students are encouraged to wear their craziest, coolest, or most colorful socks to symbolize stepping confidently toward the future. Friday, Nov. 15 - Your Future is Bright with CTE!: We’ll celebrate Career and Technical Education (CTE) by wearing bright or neon colors to highlight the bright futures of our students. Muffins with Mom: Join us next Tuesday, November 19, at 7:15 am for Muffins with Mom! We invite all moms and special guests to enjoy a light breakfast with us as we kick off the day together. Hello Stocks Families, This week, we’re excited to celebrate Red Ribbon Week, a nationwide campaign focused on promoting a drug-free lifestyle and making healthy choices. Red Ribbon Week is an important opportunity to talk with scholars about the impact of positive decisions on their futures and the value of staying drug-free. To kick off the week, we have “Put a Cap on Drugs” day on Monday, where scholars are invited to wear a hat to school. We understand it’s also Picture Day, so students are welcome to bring their hats and wear them after their photos are taken. Thank you for your support in making Red Ribbon Week meaningful for our scholars. Together, we’re empowering them to make smart choices and live healthy lives.
